On the Bright Side

If you couldn't tell, I love summer and I really love swimwear! This gingham beauty is so cute and on trend. It's from this cute brand called Bright Swimwear. I adore the dainty sleeves on the top and the corset detailing on both the top and bottoms. As you've also probably figured out, I'm obsessed with the makeup and skincare line Glossier. Well they released a couple new products, so of course I had to try them! The first product is a mascara called Lash Slick. I've been waiting for Glossier to release a mascara, and they didn't disappoint! It looks more like lash extensions than mascara; it looks super natural and doesn't clump. And it doesn't smudge! My previous mascara looked good for a couple hours, then I basically had grey bags under my eyes. But not with Lash Slick! The other new product I tried is called Lidstar, and it's a liquid eyeshadow. I'm also obsessed with Lidstar; it's just a bit sparkly without being too much. English Tea

For my grandma's 80th birthday, we threw an English-tea-party-inspired bash, and it inspired this posh ensemble. This blouse from H&M is so cute and feminine. I love the boatneck and the leg-of-mutton sleeves, it reminded me of Victorian England. But what really reminded me of old England were these pants that are reminiscent of bloomers, also from H&M. They're so fun and different, and I love the ties on the sides. To add a modern edge, I styled this look with clear lucite block heels. They are from the Who What Wear collection for Target, and they are some of my favorite shoes this season. Finally, I topped it off with something thats slowly becoming a big trend: seashells. These earrings that also happen to be from H&M are a chic, subtle way to hop on this bandwagon. Cheerio!

Shirred Thing

This week I went full Summer and did a pool shoot. I wanted to highlight a few swimsuit trends for 2018, all in one bikini! It's this great little number from Romwe that's only $11! The first trend is shirring, which is that scrunchie, bunched up texture. It's reminiscent of the 90's, which I love. Another huge trend this year is the high leg bikini bottoms a la the 80's. This trend is great because its so flattering, it makes your legs look really long. Finally, color blocking is big in swimwear this year. This particular bikini is one color; I just bought it in two colors to mix and match. I mean, for that price, why not?? To go along with the 90's vibe, I styled this swimsuit with my go-to skinny sunnies and a modern version of a dog tag necklace. This one I picked up from an H&M store but it's not online. Here's a similar one from Urban Outfitters. And the best accessory of all is of course this donut floatie!
